We're celebrating NO BIDS in the Arctic Refuge (ANWR) lease sale!! This was one of two required lease sales from Donald's 2017 tax act.

The first sale was held in 2021 and was also a colossal failure.

The claim (to get Alaskan's buy in) was that this sale would generate more than a billion dollars for Alaska, instead it put us in the red as our own fringe agency, AIDEA (Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority) was the main bidder.

The second lease sale, scheduled for January 10th, 2025 generated NO BIDS.

What had originally been planned as a solidarity show against the lease sale, turned into a celebration of no bids. Iñupiaq, Gwich’in and supporters gathered Friday, in front of the AIDEA building, celebrating the good news welcoming us into 2025.
