What is a Just Transition?

What is a Just Transition and climate justice? This is a movement that came from People of Color in communities most impacted by industry with the least amount of benefit. Transition is inevitable but will it be fair and just? Communities have been held in an economic hostage situation that requires extractive industry economy to meet their basic needs. These extractive industries have caused sickness on our lands, water, in our relatives, and Peoples. As countries around the globe rapidly move towards regenerative and renewable energy sources, the U.S. is taking steps backward and being left behind. As an Indigenous led movement, we strive to be good ancestors of tomorrow and fight for a Just Transition.
