2023 Utqiagvik Music and Health Fest

Artists AKU MATU, Wasabi, Saraaraq and Gabe Tegoseak performed at the first annual music and health fest held on the beach, welcoming all community members and their families. During this three day event there was an Indigenous Women and Girls gathering, community health walk, and a showing of Sovereignty Stories, an all Inuit community based story telling project. Quyanaqpak (thank you so much) to Saraaq Thomas and Alaska Community Action on Toxics for leading and inspiring what would become an annual musical celebration, community gathering and educational event.
